LEARNING OBJECTIVES. As a result of this course, the attendee will be able to:

1. Describe steps and tools for assessing the need for support services for a student who uses a cochlear implant.

2. Identify ways for a school to prepare an accessible learning environment for a student with a cochlear implant, in accordance with recent IDEA changes.

3. Explain the benefit a student with a cochlear implant may receive from FM amplification and how to support its use.

Friday workshop attendees are welcome to stay for this overview after perusing the exhibits or taking a walk by the lake. Early arrivers for Saturday are welcome to join us as well.

Please note that there will be no children of any age allowed to sit with their parents during the Friday workshop, and there is no child care available on Friday.
